Yoder YS480S Pellet Grill

Yoder Smokers pellet grills allow for searing as well as perfect “low and slow” cooking, and impart that special smoky flavor that is the mark of a champion grillmaster.

The Y480S comes standard with a ceramic ignition system, heavy gauge steel construction, and custom orange casters, as well as Yoder Smokers Adaptive Control System with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. The Yoder Smokers S-series stands out for its versatility. With the ability to grill over a flame on the same cooker, it can cook pretty much anything you throw at it, exactly the way you want.

The Y480S competition model adds the custom competition cart with wire shelves and 8″ casters with flat-free tires. The cart adds maneuverability and has integrated tie-downs for easier securing in transit.

The Y640S was rated the Best Overall Pellet Grill of 2023 by People Magazine, and comes standard with a ceramic ignition system, 10 – gauge steel construction, and custom orange casters, as well as Yoder Smokers Adaptive Control System with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. It has 1,070 square inches of cook space, and almost 12 inches of headroom. When you combine all that space with the option to grill over an open flame on the same cooker, it can cook pretty much anything you throw at it, exactly the way you want.

The Y640S competition model adds the custom competition cart with wire shelves and 8″ casters with flat-free tires. The cart adds maneuverability and has integrated tie-downs for easier securing in transit.

Where are Yoder Smokers built?

Yoder Smokers are designed, tested and built in the USA.

What is the best way to clean the inside of the pit?

Start by disassembling the pit, vacuum the body, use a thin blade putty knife to remove any buildup and finish by wiping down with a citrus based cleaner.

What’s the warranty?

The Yoder Smokers warranty is an industry-leading 10 years on the cooking body, 3 years on the control system, and 3 years on the ceramic igniter. View the warranty.

What is the hopper capacity?

The hopper holds 20 pounds of pellets.

What temperature will the direct grill surface achieve?

With the GrillGrates kit in place and the diffuser out the grate temperature can quickly climb past 700-degrees depending on the set point.

What’s the temperature range?

The temperature range for the Y480S or Y640S pellet grill is from 150-degrees to 600-degrees.The temperature range for the Y1500S pellet grill is from 175-degrees to 500-degrees.

How long will it run on a hopper full of pellets?

The cookers will run up to 12-hours depending on the cooking and ambient temperatures.
