Does it scratch?

If mistreated anything will scratch but it is the most durable exterior finish available to date.

Does the decking get hot?

Yes, in direct sunlight the decking will be warm. Aluminum dissipates heat faster than any other material and tests have shown Knotwood aluminum decking to be slightly cooler than traditional wood, composites and ipe.

When does the finish need to be refinished?

Knotwood is aluminum, which means it never needs to be painted, stained or oiled, saving you time and money.
