How do I clean my cushions?

Fabrics are to be “spot cleaned only” and are not suited to machine washing / dry cleaning and machine drying.

Can I remove my cushion covers through the zipper and wash or dry clean them?

Zippers are included for cosmetic purposes and added drainage only. Do not remove the foam cores due to the tight fit and the difficulty with repositioning them when reinserted.

What should I clean my furniture frames with?

We recommend using a simple mixture of mild liquid soap and water.

If my frames have been discontinued can I order replacement cushions?

Yes.

What are lead times?

Lead times can vary based on furniture lines and grade of fabric. There are quick ship options.

Can you mix and match different collections?

Yes, most collections have the same color finishes and can all look very fluent together.

Are covers necessary?

It is highly recommended to cover the furniture in rain and snow, or at least bring the cushions indoors.

Is there another option that looks like teak but is less maintenance and more durable?

Yes, there is now a product called N-Dura, it has the teak look, but is less maintenance and more durable. Please contact us for more information.

Can I place an order today?

Technically, yes! Active dealers in our network can place an order through our dealer portal. If you are not an active dealer, register as a dealer and we will get you set up right away. In order to place your order, we will need to know certain aspects of your project such as placement in a home or business, and is it a free-standing structure or attached, etc.

Will my teak furniture age and turn to a different finish?

Our teak furniture is untreated because most people prefer it this way. After a time, all untreated teak will develop a silvery-gray patina. If this is the look you prefer, simply clean your teak once a year, with a soft bristle brush and a solution of mild liquid detergent and a small amount of household bleach dissolved in warm water. This will eliminate most of the dirt, air pollution and algae. If you prefer to maintain the original teak color, clean your furniture and apply a coat of teak sealer. Teak sealers are available at many furniture retailers, and local hardware stores, and will include application directions. Teak sealer will need to be reapplied according to conditions and exposure. Summer Classics does not recommend the use of teak oil.
